He was removed but he didn’t do a terrible job. He just didn’t follow the party line (accepting every BS that your boss spouts). He raised concerns that, with the benefit of hind sight, were legit to begin with.
He was at msft for a very brief period. As a side note, what does the US Grab team work on? Considering Grab doesn't operate in the US, I'd imagine it's more beneficial for them to have all engineering in Singapore
He was also at Microsoft for years and years before he joined Google. So no impression of the guy?
