Which companies outside of banks provide green card sponsorship to finance professionals on day 1 (or within a year of joining? I looked at the green card database and most are banks and hedge funds. Tech companies seem to only give sponsorship to technical roles (SWE, PM, etc) on day 1?
My experience in Finance, big companies like Walmart and Amazon sponsor finance roles for greencard. Other companies you have to wait 1 or two years and sign a contract for 2 years. Similar to relocation clause. If you leave before the two years you pay a portion or all the expenses.
Big 4 accounting firm's tend to sponsor as well.
Yes but for the most part they'll do when you are a Manager. So for most new grads it's a 4-5 year wait..
That's not true. I know a lot of people who I went to school with were sponsored by EY, Deloitte right after college (undergrad). Also if you score an internship with them during your undergrad, the chances are higher for them to sponsor you. Not sure about KPMG and PWC
I also heard gc in big 4 is for managers only.
My process started at the 3 month mark.. non tech role..
