I’m a green card holder marrying US citizen. I want to know implications of my legal status. Do I need to do anything beyond registering marriage. How does this impact my naturalization process? Will I be eligible for naturalization 3 years from now? Just want to hear personal experience. Will consult attorney anyways.
Had been in that boat, there is not impact or spontaneous change in your process because of that. Or may be I did nothing to figure out if anything can expedite my citizenship process.
You are wasting chances for 2 potential immigrants. Other than that you are good.
OP, this person is right. You and your spouse should sponsor 2 Indians here...
That’s lame, I’m Indian though
Nothing to do. Nothing will change legally from the point of view of the USCIS. It might reduce your wait time to start the naturalization process.
Thanks! This helps
I am not a lawyer, but I’d say no effect. Because marrying us citizen would allow you to apply for GC, but your already have it

I was a gc holder when I married my spouse when she was a citizen. Did not have to do anything special other than the usual marriage registration at a city clerk's office. I got naturalized several years after marriage. Congrats and no worries.
