I am an Indian citizen, have my green card interview this Wednesday. Unfortunately my original birth certificate is in India. Does anyone know a way out? Are the USCIS officers usually lenient about this? I have a scan of my birth certificate. I have my original 10th marksheet with my birth date but it does not have my parents' names. Any advice would be helpful......
The officer who interviewed me today didn't ask for it.
I really hope we have the same experience ๐
Any marksheet with both parents names?
My marksheet has my birthdate but not both parents name
Official translation will work too
I have already submitted a copy of my birth certificate in 485 packet. It is in English. I just don't have the original.
Get it from Indian embassy they charge 30 $
Whats your priority date? And good luck
You must've had like one month of notice for interview. What have you been doing?
He will be first in line to cry about unfair deportation. Don't worry.
How many years did you have to wait? Good luck :)
