Can someone share there experience for Groupon onsite interview? This is for software engg. position. Yoe: 5+ #groupon
@guruji seems like
Don't go. I did an onsite for their palo alto office a few years ago. Got a bad culture vibe even then.
What was it?
Which office?
Chicago
Leetcode medium. Also don’t go because Groupon is dying
Do you work for engineering? Why are they even hiring then?
I did work for engineering. Because they laid off 45% of employees. Do you think they will have success now that USA just hit 3 million confirmed cases?
Do not go to Groupon!
Saying an Uber employee?
Why you calling out uber for that.... you’re thinking about Groupon 🤡
Yeah, don’t do it. This is your warning and if you decided to go for it, prepare for a world of regret.
Do you work for Mobile team?
Uhh, I knew someone on that team and they jumped. I’m at Amazon now so I’m much happier than being at Groupon.
Lot of people discouraging you but there is still a lot of opportunity for growth at Groupon. They have done layoffs but tell me which company did not (eBay, Yelp, even TSLA). If your manager is good, you have a good team to work with the bigger things don't matter much. You could be in a really shitty team at FAANG or a great team at Groupon.
Lol, looks like you’re drinking the kool-aid. Job security is important. If I wanted to be a troll then I would have told this person to apply. The writing is on the wall and I know so many good engineers who have left the company. If there is growth, name some for this person. If a manager is trying to save their own behind, they can’t be a good manager bc there isn’t an opportunity to. Anyways, good luck OP on your job search.
Groupon is dying buddy.
Are they still operational? I thought they laid off most of their staff recently
How about eBay? Do you think it will survive the current market situation in the long term?
