1) determine what projects you'd most like to contribute to
2) now figure out which ones you are best suited to help (same tech, vision, etc)
3) look for open issues, especially be on the lookout for "starter" issues that have already been tagged for those new to contributing
4) if any of those look good, try your hand at one or more.
