What to expect in Better Mortgage Karat interview ?

I just started my job hunt and I have my first interview with Better.com, a 1 Hour Karat interview (technical screening) for the Senior Software Engineer (L6/L7) position. What type of questions should I expect in the interview? #software #bettermortgage #karat

    Karat interviews are trash. Prep literal leetcode questions. They take LC and change it just enough to not be a complete 1-1.

    Easy-medium LC. Focus is on getting working solution than efficiency. Practice 2d grid traversal, problems that have core data structures as hashmap/sets, grouping strings like creating frequency map and working around that.

    About 30 mins were random questions that you can’t really prep for - from CS fundamentals (heap vs stack memory, thread vs process) to operational skills where to show you graphs and ask how you’d debug anomalies. About 30 mins for programming. As other said, just focus on getting it running, don’t worry about space and time complexity. I finished just one question and got through.

    They start off Easy and give you follow-ups up to Hard, you’re expected to get through 2 at the very minimum, 3rd one is required for some companies
