Seems Apple revoked Facebook Enterprise program certificate. This means Facebook can't distribute apps internally to its employees. From outside it seems serious. Is it really a serious issue?
🍿
FB is between a rock and a hard place of their own doing. Their users are predominantly on Android, while their employees like iOS. Google is effectively a nemesis, but Apple actually enforces rules that exploit users and violate terms. They don't have any good choices and I sure hope to see Apple and users sue Facebook for their misdeeds.
Do you even know what this is about? Apple is not the saint you believe it is.
You don’t have to be a saint to not want people to violate your rules. You speed, doesn’t mean you want people to shit on your lawn.
This is such a low blow from apple. I guess to take attention away from the FaceTime bug. It's an internal app used by the employees and the research app that they are talking about declares everything to folks who choose to share their data for money. Frankly, this is apple being an asshole and nothing else.
No it’s not. They can do whatever fuck they want on internal app but apple doesn’t want companies to run public app which collects all data on iPhone. Tomorrow what if everyone is doing that. Then people will accuse apple of selling user data to these companies.
They violated terms and conditions of the enterprise certificate to buy data of kids... Apple is not the one to blame and everybody other than you know it.
I guess we’ll now see how much they like to “Move fast and break things”
🍿
This just happened today, right? How do you expect them to have a plan so fast?

Was wondering the same thing.
