I am looking to get some fitness tips from people here. I used to be very slim three years ago and gained like 20 pounds since(Does not show)! Not happy with that and I hate going to the gym. I have like zero motivation and let myself go a bit. I think I can reel in and lose the weight but I get absorbed in work and leave after 7 tired and hungry! How do I turn this slump around? Also the reason I ask here is because everyone here has some perspective of how to manage fitness and a career.

Just go to classes! Like spin, hot yoga, Pilates and things like that.

I mean, never been to any such classes myself but that seems to be the thing women do around here. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I actually have a couple dude friends who used to go too. They didn’t meet anyone there but genuinely enjoyed the exercise and classes lol.

If you are throwing up or passing out mid-workout, you either ate right before the workout or didn't eat enough through the day, respectively. People don't hurt themselves because they are hardcore, people hurt themselves because they don't follow the basic rules.

Gym is mostly to build body. Weight loss is all about calorie intake.

Just do a calorie deficit diet. Having less calories than what you require to run your body => the more it'll use the body fat to compensate. eventually you'll reach a saturation point based on your daily routine. After that you can go to gym to get into shape (muscles)

What's dangerous? No one is asking you to go anemic.. If eating more than what your body needs can make you fat, then eating less can make you lose it too. That's literally how people lose weight.

If you're going to gym to burn extra calories, then that can technically work, but you don't burn enough calories at gym, because to workout, you need extra energy, which ends up negating any calories you've lost

      Nothing is dangerous.

You don't need motivation. You need discipline.
