Got an offer for Uber L5B (EM2) and Meta M1. Similar total comp. I’m seeking advice on which company to go with. Disregarding comp, which company should I go with and why? Im looking for info about culture, wlb, type of work, growth, etc. Thanks!
Offers: low 600s since I’ll be working remotely in a lower tier location. About 225k base and 1M stocks. Meta’s total RSU was higher but Uber does front load. I have not negotiated, but that’s not the point of this post.

From what I’ve heard Meta is hectic, competitive, and political. Expect to work at least 50+ stressful hours while being mired in politics.
Uber has mostly great WLB and is not as political.
Personally I’d pick Uber easily.
Btw 450k is low for L5B.
It’s not *as* political. Every big company is somewhat political.
Meta is political to the point where many of my IC E5 friends there are aware of the politics. That is not the case at Uber. I know people who have left Meta because of politics.
All eng I know at Meta have complained about the stress and bad WLB compared to Uber.
Uber is understaffed
