H-1B layoff

Hello Everybody, I recently got laid off and my last date would be March 31. I am on H-1B. What happens to my status? I am still looking for jobs and I have 60 days of unemployment if I am not wrong. It would be great if anybody who went through the same situation could tell me what they did. I need some information about the visa transfer time. Thank you. #intel#semiconductor#h1b

at least you got some time, more than 30 days advance notice and after the last day you have 60 more days. as a first thing do some easier interview and get a job, file new visa before your 60 days are over, time flies. then continue interviewing for other companies. just note that big companies take a lot of time, sometimes more than 60 days for the recruiting process. all the best.

Sorry you’re going through this. Job transitions are tough. The world is shutting down and India has cancelled visas. So it would be no surprise if your US visa wasn’t renewed.
