Company A filed my h1 visa and most probably I’ll have to try again next year. I want to join company B but they can’t allow me to join until I get the reject package. I’ll have to join company A before the reject package comes and I don’t want to hop companies once I start my job. What are my options other than forgetting company B? I have 3 years of OPT left.
Are you with comp A already? If not, comp B could let you join if you're very certain about the reject and do the OPT paperwork for you. If you're with A, I would certainly wait for the confirmation you lost.
Haven’t started with either
Then go with B now.
If your petition with A is approved, then B can file a cap-exempt petition. Otherwise they have to file a new petition through the lottery.

Company B has no business with your rejection package. Why did you even tell company B about this?
Had to tell the legal team so that they could prepare for a transfer in case the visa went through.
