My H1B transfer is filled in premium processing. Is it possible that H1B is approved via email notice but rejected in physical notice received later? In other words, is it safe to give resignation in current company based on just the approval notice via email (or tracker on USCIS website) or it is recommended to wait for physical notice? I don't want to be in a situation where I resign based on email approval but get rejected later in physical notice. Thanks for your help! #h1b #h1bpremiumprocessing
If the status on USCIS says it's approved then it's approved (unless someone at USCIS really fucks up).
It is approved. Stop stressing :)
In case of Premium processing, USCIS will send a soft copy of the approval right away in email. That should clear your doubts but - a case like you mentioned never happens - I haven’t heard any.
Thanks
Its approved!
If this happens.. then you don't need H1b anymore. Get a lawyer, sue USCIS, get settlement and retire in your home country.
Approved on website is approved on paper too. They print the receipt and the i797 when it gets approved. Chill and congrats
Thanks
How long did it take @op? Time frame from filing transfer to approval?
My petition was filed last Friday. Will post updates here.
There's no need to worry about that. Even if you did receive the paper copy, it wouldn't change anything, because USCIS could always be like "oh whoops, we made a mistake, we are going to revoke the approval now" at any future point. In other words getting the paper copy doesn't provide any additional security so there is no reason to wait for it.
Got you, thanks
My H1B transfer online approval came today. It was filed in premium and took 5 business days.
Thanks for the update.
There is a rare chance of rejection but wait for a week, you should receive physical copy in a week!
Thanks! Have you heard any such rare cases? I'd like to join my new employer asap.
