Not happening. Every time someone was unable to get Visa, the large tech companies would relocate the person to another country where they have offices. This effectively means that the job left the country and is contributing to another country's economy. I don't think anyone here wants that to happen on a massive scale
That's not true. But I get your point. One must always have a plan B from the very beginning. That's life on an h1b. Can't help it. But know this. If 7th year extension is ended, there will be hell to pay for the tech industry. 10s of thousands will leave the USA, taking all their experience with them. As for me, I couldn't care less. USA to me was a temp gig anyway. Make enough $$$ to accelerate my retirement back in India. That has already been achieved twice over
AC21(which allows extensions beyond 6 years ) is LAW , Trump CANNOT change it overnight . A new bill should be approved in congress to make any changes to it ! Keep Dreaming !
EB5 may be an alternative to H1B. There is a seminar in Santa Clara on Sunday, 6/10, followed by a series of seminars across the country.... get-eb5-visa.com
