Hi!
Under what circumstances would H1B be granted for less than three years, more specifically, just few months less than three years?
I'm wondering if it could have been a mistake by our immigration team/USCIS.
I have had previous extensions renewed for 3 years, and even my first H1B for 3 years. Nothing has changed on my side - I have worked for the same company all along.
If y'all can answer the poll on your H1B / H1B extension duration, that would be great.
Thank you!
Update: I heard back from the immigration team that the date is based on the LCA filed by them, and they file it couple months early to get ready to send out extension requests. Not sure if this is something they started doing only this year since it never happened to me before.
