Yeah some companies on this post..
LCA was filed this week. H1B transfer should be filed next, will post here as the process moves along. I had a thought that there would be less H1B transfer fillings now since almost all tech companies are on a hiring freeze. And thus standard processing might not take 2-4 months as USCIS is guiding right now.
Let’s hope you are correct :)
If the number of applications have reduced, so have the number of people processing those applications at USCIS.
My H1B transfer is going to be filed next week. I am thinking if its a good idea to join on receipt. I am joining Microsoft again. I worked at MS for 5 yrs before moving to Amazon (got a RFE when I moved) and I am going back to MS after 2 yrs. I have an approved I-140 from MS.
Nice. I had a doubt, when your i140 is approved do you need to extend the h1b every year or it is every 3 years?
Every 3 yrs!
My transfer was filed on March 30 and Ive received receipt on April 3rd. I’m planning to join on receipt.
That’s quick. Mine was filled on 10th April. Hopefully I will get the receipt this week
Which company are you joining?
Kindly join WhatsApp group to better track the progress h1b transfer, here is the link if you wanna join and share your timelines
Trackit is a decent site to get some metrics. I have seen some cases approved in a month.
