H1B visa transfer and traveling
I have couple of questions: 1. My Visa transfer application is planned to be filed in couple of days, it seems that its taking long these days (3-4 months to have the transfer completed) . How long does it take to transfer these days, as per your experience? 2. I might need to travel during the transfer process or just after it. Are there any complications and what documents are required? Thanks!
I dnt think you can travel during transfer
If you have not left your original job, you should be able to travel as you have a valid visa However if you have joined on receipt, then you will not be able to come back until after the visa had been approved
Thanks. Can i travel in current company even after the visa transfer is completed?
Follow up question: if one does not leave original job, travels outside US, and has H1 transfer application filed before the travel. On rentry i94 will change. With that change does transfer application get rejected?
1. Yes it’s taking long. Have been hearing 5-6 months assuming there are no RFEs. Although I must add that this is what I have heard and don’t have direct knowledge. 2. Ask your lawyer.
