H1b Visa Stamping
Hi All, I’m planning to go for Visa stamping and eligible for drop box. Most folks are saying 221g we are getting through drop box and visa interview as well. Is it too high and what are the timelines it takes for people who got 221g. Please share your thoughts. Working as FTE and BE with 9 yrs experience and going for 3rd time stamping.
I came for my visa stamping and was qualified for waiver. I had to appear for interview and then was given a yellow slip
In the interview what did they ask and how long it took to process?
They asked me basic questions Which company I work for How much do I make What projects do I work on Where do I live Weather talk It was like a couple of mins And then he handed me yellow slip
After yellow slip how long it took to get the PP and is there anything ticked in yellow slip?
They took my passport It only said admin processing After 2 hrs I received an email to fill out ds5535 And my passport was returned without stamp after couple of days It’s been 2 weeks since No update on my case
Have seen more 221g for first time h1b stamping (after f1 or other converstions).
Do you know any reasons for the above? Stuck in a similar dilemma
For all my friends who got 221g at first time stamping were not told any reason at all. Usually they don't tell any reason other than administrative processing needed on your file.
