I joined new employer on receipt and h1b transfer is denied now. BAL is telling me I can legally stay in the country(not work) until the end of my I94. is that correct? anybody faced similar situation? #h1b #rfe #h1btransfer
Oh man.. that's sad... Ask your previous employer
Not an option now
Denial reason? What role? What's your degree in? Reapply.
Yep, it will be reapplied but that’s not what i am asking here.
Those questions helps others in similar situations, that's why. I-94 tells you how long you can stay in the country. I think you have 60 days to find another job. Your best bet is to reapply correcting the defects in the first application.
This is so scary. Mine is BAL as well. What’s the RFE reason and denial reason if you don’t mind sharing? I have a colleague who was using OPT and got H1B denied in past Sep. She needs to be off payroll for sure and I believe she can stay 60 days or sth, not sure about I94 date
I don't think its end of i94 It is 30 days else you need to transfer to another eligible visa b1/b2/dependent to stay
Thanks!
Why did you join on receipt?
I didn’t have other option
What is BAL ? And no you get only 60 days that count towards your total days against your presence in usa with out valid visa.
Which company did you join?
60 days or i94 expiry whichever is less.

If your current employer has offices abroad, move there for a while. They should help. And then reapply

How many of the NW reports are real?
Why was it denied ? Are you in non technical role ?
How does it matter?
It matters to folks who might want to join on receipt in future to know the cause of rejection.
