Same role in current company. Dint give notice, so H1b & current job still intact. In my 2nd 3yr extension phase (post original 6yrs). Lawyers: Fragomen Service Center: California Application type: Premium LCA SOC code: 15-1199 Misc Computer Occupation, All Others (Link https://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes_stru.htm ) LCA wage level 4. MS CS (USA), BE CS (Non-US). Had got RFE for Speciality Occupation. Found out today transfer was rejected. Have to wait for mail to figure out denial details and options ahead with lawyers and new employer. Hope they don't abandon me. Options i read online: 1. Appeal 2. Refile a new i-129 / application Using https://www.trackitt.com to share my info and recommend folks report there (for a good collective view). Update 20-Aug: Hiring manager was patient & supportive to do a refile. And i see online it's approved in a record breaking 3 days processing time. Thanks to all folks who were supportive and cheered me on my original post.
Was it an extension in the current company or changed company and filed h1
Transfer initiated by new employer
This is one of the driest rejections I saw with a masters degree in US and not working for a consulting firm getting a rejection
What was the role?
Sorry to hear that. Just read that now a H1B petition can also be denied without a RFE. Though it seems to be a step with right intentions.
Ugh. Sorry to hear this. Feel free to ping me if you're interested in roles at F5. Your background at Juniper might be a great fit.
Sorry to hear this. If your competing offer is better, you might be able to at least use it to improve your TC with your current employer though.
USA USA USA
There is a new policy that if you get denied, you will be deported. Is that true?
If he was denied an extension - it’s a different case
Frankly PM jobs should be given to US citizens or GC holders. There is no reason why these jobs needs H1Bs.
OP is an engineering manager...
Why offer it to GC holders too then? I mean employment based GC and H1b have the same criteria!
Which company? Startups are tricky. Since you already have current job you don’t have to worry about not getting that job. Try to refile or worst case try another company while working at your current one
Irony: Apple :) Was a tough run scoring this, and when i hit my hot streak i picked this job. Now am dreading if i have to go back to square one, application, prepare and the emotional roller coaster. Anyways will have to see my options or lack of next week.
Man, so sorry!
