Do h1b visa approval rates (transfers, extensions etc) differ by the profession or company filing it? I am talking about real companies (not contracting ones) and real titles (like Software engineer, Data scientist, product manager, analytics manager, data analyst, research engineer etc). Example (considering similar background and compensation) - 1. Does a PM at a 100 people startup have lesser chances of approval than a PM at Microsoft? 2. Does a PM at Microsoft have lesser chances of approval than SWE at Microsoft?
Exactly, no one knows for sure. just looking at what’s happened in my friends circle, no differences in name of the role. I think it’s just luck. Though, my friends at startups or smaller sized companies have been rejected multiple times.
No one knows it for sure. And I don't think anyone here works for USCIS. I wouldn't trust any of the answers on this topic here.
