Was very disappointed with the interview process at C3.ai. it consisits of a 6 step process that starts out with a Hacker Rank and moves into 5 phone screenings. Hacker Rank was quite easy with a bunch of mapping questions. Then first two rounds was with one of the engineers with a similar role which went really well with easy technicals question.

Then comes the third round where I was unfortunate enough to end up with someone that didnt have an intenet connection and was attempting to conduct a technical interview over his phone. He didnt have his camera on and was on mute half the time, but after asking enough questions to understand the problem he was giving me (since he couldnโ€™t type it out over the phone) I ended up solving it with time to spare.

A day later my recruiter reaches back out to me and told me that they werenโ€™t moving forward and that I had a really strong technical
portion but I didnt have a strong enough behavioral.

Does anyone know how that is possible since we practically jumped right into technical questions right away? Is it just pure prejudice?

    Consider yourself lucky, itโ€™s a shitty place to work anyway. I know a few people who work there and when they talk about the company and its CEO, they sound more like cult members than employees.

    I interviewed with them last year as well. Their interview process is insane. Had 3 technical rounds and I cleared it. They also had 2 behavioral rounds with the engineering manager and the VP. Both went well and they said they'll be moving ahead at the end of the round.
    And then complete silence. HR didn't respond to any mails or even inform me whether I was accepted or rejected.
    If HR can't even let candidates know if they're rejected I feel like I dodged a bullet.

  • I interviewed when they were called C3IOT. Redwood City shores office. I was interviewing for DS role, cleared phone screen, coding round and on onsite interview day, they told me to interview for SRE position instead as tech skills required for both jobs were same. ๐Ÿ™„ wth!!
