Yes, got two jobs doing just that. And a google interview. Only works if you apply the same day they get posted the first time so set alerts for your job search.

  • You all don’t have recruiters reaching out to you?

Are you at JPMC ? If so, it’s very surprising. If you have moved on to greener pastures it makes sense

    • JPMC is my current employer- I wouldn’t have landed here if a recruiter didn’t reach out.

LinkedIn worked for me, recruiters reach out from time to time as well. But you should update your profile, there's lots of YouTube videos on how best to optimize your LinkedIn profile. And yes, I agree with Adobe you should definitely apply to the jobs as soon as they come up, otherwise the post gets flooded with applications and there's only so many the recruiters will look through.

It worked really well for me when applying to startups. In some cases, I applied for positions even after the posting had been visible for several days, and heard back from someone on the team (typically recruiter or CTO). The key seemed to be to have a resume that told my story well. Also I had LinkedIn premium, and it’s possible that the premium version was matching me to better-suited positions (the last part is hearsay though)
