What kind of prestige is associated with working at Facebook vs working at a not greatly known but still doing well series A, series B startup?
Do others look at the person working at Facebook as more prestigious or the person at the startup, or does the concept of prestige just in my head and none of this matters?#engineering #software #swe

Everything else is noise. Period.
Micromobility was a race to the bottom and development cycles were insanely fast and there wasn't time for that level of onboarding - sink or swim. It's not for everyone and I don't even recommend it tbh. He was clearly more adapted for a slow moving org like FB search where he was successful.
Join a hot startup and grow with the company, donโt be another cog โ๏ธ.
It's a job, do a good job, take the money , enjoy your life.
