What is Production Engineer (UI) at Facebook?

Looks like it is a frontend focused role. I am currently a frontend developer but the word “production engineer” scares me. Do you think it will be relevant for a front-end developer? I have 4 yoe.

      That’s an interesting perspective! I have a PE friend and he keeps telling me he writes a lot of code like he was at Google as SRE. Is this vary by team?

    • Yeah I write a lot of code and yes that true it varies from team to team. I'd say 90% or more of my time is spent coding

      Maybe you'd be building internal UI tools for production engineering. Could be one of the most chill dev jobs at FB. I've read that FB internal tools roles are less demanding, and building internal UI's without having to do any SRE work sounds as chill as can be.

      Maybe someone in FB can chime in and correct me if necessary
