Question on system design interview for Google L6 and Amazon L7

Got interviews scheduled.

What level of details are we expected to go in Sys Design for G L6 level/ Amzn L7? Do we need to talk at the implementation level of DBs, ES, msg broker e.g. SSTables, LSM Trees, leader-follower vs leaderless, quorums etc, details of consensus algos (paxos), OR

just talking at a higher level for various components, data replication, sharding, and explaining design tradeoffs is fine?
