I have a question - why does Broadcom have so many Principal Engineers ? This kind of makes me feel title doesn’t matter
Principal in Broadcom is staff in rest of companies i think. So thats why so many principals.
Broadcom Principal is actually Sr. Staff level in other companies...its Principal Engineer directly from Staff. After this we have Associate Technical Director ( ICB6, equivalent to Principal in other companies both in terms of leadership and pay ) and then Distinguished Engineer
I have seen Sr staff in Broadcom. Are you sure after Staff it’s Principal directly ?
ICB4=staff ICB5=principle There is no more Sr staff, that is the old broadcom level. Now it is all avago.
