Hardest Role in IB
For those who have climbed the IB ladder or are in process of doing so, what’s the role you found most challenging and why?

The hardest role is being a Director because you have to bring in clients and revenue to prove your worth while being the least tenured “senior” person in the organization. That or first year analyst, yeah.
I would say 1st year as an analyst since you will realize how making money is nothing when you have no time to spend it
And also how when you calculate hourly pay you’re barely making anything
This is such an important life lesson that you should all be thankful to learn so young. Lots of people idolize money all their lives never having it and don’t come to appreciate their free time ever.
