Hi, i have 3 years of HW Prodcut development experience. Recently i was given an opportunity to move to technical program manager role. I am just confused if its too early in my career to make the shift. Eventually I would want to be a TPM. But I was just wondering if i should get more technical knowledge before making the swtich. any suggestions will be appreciated thank you! TC: 150k

Do you really think Amazon is that bad
Don’t switch. Continue being an engineer for as long as possible
Any reason ?
As an engineer you have the highest amount of leverage. You’re close to the source of truth and an authority on the subject. When you become a TPM, you’re no longer closest to the truth and your job becomes cat herding for the most part
