Dude , if you make a business case for it , Apple will get you your own data center , if the project is important enough. If they want it and you can get it done then money is no object. You need to deliver though.
I’m not questioning the resources that Apple has. Just wondering what’s a basic/default setup for ML engineers

You can pretty much get any machine config you want
Anything you ask for
So a setup MBP 13” + Linux box with GPU is doable?
You will get ssh access to linux box with gpu’s in a lab or DC if it’s required..
