As a hardware engineer, is it better to work for a hardware company or a software company? I have some offers from both side and some bias around staying at hardware company, but can you tell some pros and cons from both sides. E.g. google/waymo vs Apple/Nvidia. Consider the TC is not deviating a lot from each other. tc-200+, bay area 3.5yoe #hardware #semiconductor

The processes, tools and support may not be sufficient in SW companies in order to do HW efficiently or do it well. However, the perks and comp are usually better. It kinda depends on your specialty and what matters more to you.
Op, how did you get this many interviews and offers? That's very impressive.
I think I have been getting good work and exposure. I could see most of the questions through.
How did you clear them? What's your area?
3.5 yoe and 200+ tc is impressive, can you tell me what’s your base and what area of hardware you are in?

I joined google cloud infrastructure from Intel mfg. You will find lot of opportunities in software companies to develop system from scratch and truly work in a start up mode hence progressing in career fast. On top you get great salaries and lot of perks of a software company. So basically you can be THE one in software company ... However you will be another one at a hardware company.
Hey, thanks for your feedback, are you at the backend of ASIC or frontend?
