Is the job market finally heating up?
I remember reading stories about people who worked in the Twin Towers, who saw the destruction that day and realized they had wasted so much of their lives chasing Mammon. Is anyone having those thoughts nowadays? As I look out from my "luxury" apartment building downtown, I wonder I was wrong all along with my career choices, and right all along with this fantasy of buying land and being self sufficient and living a simpler life.
Grew up in a suburb of about 30K people, and there were 1-2 farms in town.
I heard a bunch of people regreting on getting a dog 🤦
No more eating bats in Wuhan
(Disclaimer: I already kind of wanted to move eventually) I’ve decided to move closer to family once my lease ends in August. This situation really solidified what’s important to me and want i need and want out of life...and sadly it’s not in San Francisco (though I will always love the architecture and overall culture of California and I will miss it!!!)
I’m just a new grad and started my new job last month. My brain is thinking a lot about this and I’m slowly starting to get depressed. But I’m trying really hard to get out of this. Experienced guys, please help the new grads.
Hang in there. Keep connected to people who lift you up & inspire you to be a better person. If you currently don't have anyone, find them. The quality of your relationships (including the relationship you have with yourself) will make or break you. Read or tune into things that also inspire you. Stay curious. Find ways to help people, especially those less fortunate.
^ This! Repeating it for the ones in the back: "The quality of your relationships (including the relationship you have with yourself) will make or break you." Sensei has spoken!
I grew up on a farm. You ready to be knee deep in animal crap and be completely dependent on the weather to determine if you can turn a profit?
Makes me realize how great of a job I have now. Gratefulness is up!
Maybe it's worth the try to chase what your heart whispers to you.
I feel that sometimes
