Some kid on LinkedIn posted about how he got rejected from a google internship and that the rejection helped him “find himself”. However, he’s still open to opportunities.

He wasn’t even interviewed. It was a generic rejection email.

Comment section was all about how he did a great job applying etc.

    No, but still very cringe.

“Influencers” posting their regular motivational nonsense

If you’re in the Bay, set up “open to opportunities” and select specific non-Bay locations, you get hit up daily by recruiters for positions in the Bay...

And why are people sharing animal videos to get Likes? It’s a career app, not TikTok/FB

Not everyone updates their LinkedIn profile right away to advertise the fact that they’ve lost their job. Some people might even feel embarrassed about it, imagine that. Broadcasting an offer to help is kindness.

    • Yeah. What part of I don't want to move to the Bay they don't get?
It would be good if you could also have a message for recruiters only where you can say "I have ZERO interest in fintech"

  • LinkedIn "Influencers":

"Today my 3 year old dropped his plate while I was feeding him at the same time I was delivering a pitch to 10000 investors from FORBES 30 UNDER 30. I was mortified but then my child said something that made me recover my hope in humanity. My child said: 'we need to find synergies in or bottom line to improve our output rate and frequency', wow it immediately made me think back to my job and it made me realize that if we just synergize out bottom lines we could improve our output rate and frequency!

It's incredible what the most simple people can teach us, like the people that message me about jobs so I go ahead and message all my CEO contacts to say I know people looking for jobs. Wow what an output of support, these job seekers are the real heroes.

This is a completely not made up story.
