Fortunately, I haven’t been in the situation. But I have heard in real life about situations as these in the tech community and these cases seem to be increasing in number. As a single guy I have a lot of fun but in regard to relationships, this is why I’m so picky with women and don’t share my TC, because I don’t think a relationship can last if the sole reason they are with you is because of material things - and I see this a lot. They also need to be ready and mature enough to remain in a committed relationship when things get rocky. Maybe I’m wrong, but this is my opinion. Have any of you guys been in the situation or know someone who has? May the almighty protect us all. YOE 7, TC 438k
I don't even tell guys what I do for a living anymore. They start asking me for money. Had a second date ask me to move in with him to help him pay his rent. 🙄 He also had me pay for dinner and oreded food to go. 😂😂😂 I don't even earn that much. Just be careful and do what you need to in order to protect yourself. If you do ever get married. Prenups and separate bank accounts. Have horror stories about those too.
I am gonna own the problem and say poor judgment.
Good riddance, if someone is after your money you don't really want them in your life.
Create a poll for yes no
I would ask the introspective question, “Are they leaving over money or is that just what I think is the problem?” Sure, there are shallow, money-obsessed people (e.g. Blind) but most are seeking a bit more than just that. Maybe you are looking for the wrong thing while dating.
From what I've seen most women in the bay dont like high earning tech guys that brag about TC and think that these guys are boring. I dont think this is super common OP
Maybe they’re not much into the other one and searching for somebody else. If the next one is high tc bingo. Two times happy. I guess guys are the giving part of heterosexual relationships. (Not 100%. There are exceptions of course) guys give money, love, time etc. at different times or altogether. Lady's take. Guys check what ladies are doing with whatever they took. When both are happy that's a relationship.
My uncles wife left him for someone worth over $500M and was about 20 years older. Sucked for him but honestly for that kind of money I can’t really blame her for doing it
You’re a clown lol get a hobby
Shut up you prick. I wrote this post because this exact situation has recently occurred in my family and wanted to see how common it is.
