Got my H1B last year. Visa started last October, but seems like the validity of the visa is 2 years on paper. Is this normal? Why does this happen? Do extensions happen easily or is there higher probability of rejection? Also, what if I plan to change companies say next july, with the visa expiring in November. How likely is it to get rejected?
I got mine for a year because the lawyers screwed it up!
Switching companies in July will not be affected AT ALL with your November expiration
huh? mines for 3 years.
Have you already worked for 4 years on an H1B? If so, you will only get 2 more years unless your I140 is filed.
Same here. Mine was approved this year for 2 years. Expiring in December, 2021.
