Has anyone faced an antagonistic BR at Amazon?
Has anyone had experience with a combative BR during an Amazon loop?
Mine came in hot and stayed that way throughout the call. He asked a couple LP questions which I definitely stumbled through because I was reeling over the person’s brusqueness. Then presented a case based question that was WAY outside my work experience — I’ve been primarily a backend PM during my career.
Previous rounds with HM and team members felt really positive. I was consistently getting feedback along the lines of “That’s a great/clear example”, presumably for hitting the right LPs with my anecdotes and adhering tenaciously to the STAR format
I’m fully expecting to get a veto from that person and no offer now, and frankly, even though I liked the team members I’m feeling… for lack of a better word, gross. I’m seriously considering writing to the recruiter and just withdrawing outright.
BR felt like an attack.
