Has anyone here signed the offer letter and then rejected the job offer?

I signed something in early June since that was the only offer but kept interviewing anyway. Now I have a better offer.
Is it even possible to reject after signing? What are the consequences? I'd believe I'll be blacklisted, but what else?

Done it plenty of times. There is no such thing as blacklisting.

that's it. note on your candidate profile for renegging on acceptance, bad taste for recruiter and hiring team, if they go to any other company you want to work for, cross fingers they don't see your app.

  • I did with Amazon. I wasn't happy with their Greencard application policy. I wasn't blacklisted.

  • I did and it's pretty normal - you are not under a bond or contract - it's in legal framework - just don't try again atleast for 6 months , no company would blacklist you for this nor would they if you leave in a month - its all about fit and love for the work and personal reasons. If a company does blacklist I would be happy I am not working for such a narrow minded company(aka Uber like company )

I believe this happens with interns a lot and should have no consequences since they wait 1 year to start after signing
