Have any of you guys thought about just quitting your job and living off of income generated by your vest stock/savings? We get a decent amount and it seems like it's possible even with small percentage gains on w/e u are given. What are your thoughts? And if you trade, would love to hear your exp with it :)
Look up FIRE
It's not as easy as you think. Also healthcare costs a lot. Better to stay employed for perks and benefits, devote minimal time to your day job and trade full time. Best of both worlds.
If trading was an easy job that could generate >100K for a newbie everyone would be quitting after they had some savings. Especially since you are trading against the street. Even if you are right the market will force the position out of your hand, only the people that have guaranteed capital backing will be standing there.
So many FIRE types have only ever known this 10-year bull market.
What’s your return for past few months and years though?
In the bull market many believe they are smartass investors. When the bear comes these dudes will know what's really going on.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Uh yeah, a lot of us would still have mortgages to pay. I've seen/heard of a bunch of folks with 1M+ mortgages and they wouldn't be able to pay it off by quitting on a whim.
Shackling yourself with living in a mortgage comes with pros and cons. It’s a very conscious decision
That most folks have already made. Unless you live in a LCOL area and make high TC, but I'd say that's the minority of us.
