Having a Body Shop on Resume
Currently working at Cognizant, a well known body shop. How bad does this make me look? I was unaware about the low reputation before joining. Previous job was for a old tech giant (think ibm) as a dev. 3 yoe. The dream is to get into faang, will it be harder now? TC:107k
☝️ well said. I understand it maynot very good reputation but don't forget it's what's putting the bread and butter on your table now. Work hard and aim for the best - getting into faang but don't forget the past or betray the present. Work hard and your dreams will come true. Ok now that a couple people have blown smoke up your ass I’ll tell you the real answer: it’s super bad. Cognizant as current employer is basically an instant reject and I’m not even that picky. Keep applying places and don’t get discouraged, just know your resume reject rate is going to be pretty high and power through until something sticks.
We all started somewhere.
