Worst interview experience - Facebook follow up interview

After completing the on-site round I was asked for another follow up interview.
For the follow up interview the interviewer’s internet connection was terrible. Interviewer did not do anything even after telling multiple times that I cannot hear and understand properly.

Could not hear the interviewer clearly and it was difficult to understand some requirements. I had to ask follow up questions for clarification which the interviewer considered as “giving hints”

For one question I got the feedback that I couldn’t explain the logic of it. I definitely explained it well and had asked the interviewer if he understood or I should repeat. The interviewer had agreed that he understood and asked to move on to the next question. (There’s a mismatch in what the interviewer told me during the interview and his evaluation feedback later)

End result - I did not pass the bar for one area but passed for all other areas. So they decided to NOT move forward.

Questions for the community:

Q.1 What should I have done here? Dropped/stopped the interview at the very start when the interviewer did not do anything about his internet connection issue?

Q.2 What should I do next? I explained my situation to the recruiter when he called and he said he is going to check and see what can be done.
Any chances for one more follow up interview? Or any other options?

PS:
- I could see the red bar (1 bar out of 4) in the signal strength on BlueJeans
- All previous interviewers were nice and no internet connection issue happened before
