His severance package will probably be bigger than our lifetime TC.
The board is firing him not because of the disasters which caused deaths, but because of his handling of the post-crash crisis which has taken too long and caused them financial loss. He, the entire board, and a number of senior exec at boeing should be criminally charged in a civil court for the lives lost because of their greed. There should not be any limited liability here.
He was fired primarily as the stock price is getting affected and people needed to see some action being taken to have any sort of trust in Boeing. The problem is actually systemic.
If Boeing wants to restore confidence in the 737 Max all they have to do is have their top exec's constantly fly in those planes and consistently report on it. Here is the CEO of a company gettng shot at behind bulletproof glass that his company made. Would you buy this product? https://youtu.be/e-z_IlMMl-A
Apparently the ceo of the bullet proof company first tested it on 200 employees before sitting behind it .. most ceos are just knights with shining armor, coz they have never fought in a battle themselves. If you don’t want to deal with Corp bullshit, there is only one way to achieve it , never work for a company; just create one .
If he was a CEO in China, I’m pretty sure capital punishment would be in the cards for him.
Good riddance. He's prob just scapegoat tho. There's a lot of decision makers needed to screw this up
