Hello hybrids!

I have been an interaction designer / ux engineer for about 6 years now. My equal obsession with design and front end dev never let me settle down on one stream and I have managed to find roles which sit my skill set. However, since not many people choose to be in such a position , it has been hard for me to find and network with people with similar skills and aspirations. So let's hear short intros from all the hybrids here, and get to know teach other!
Here I go. 6 years of relevant exp, design skills : interaction design, dataviz. Dev skills :react js, react native, d3 js, trying to dip my toes in threejs/Webgl
Currently, I work for a team in Microsoft specializing in building experimental prototypes. BTW, I am looking for a change :) and referrals are greatly appreciated!

A hybrid here as well, and I've been debating to focus on one of these two directions, but whenever I thought I made a decision, later I changed mind... I used to design educational games for kids and built prototypes in web, also made design system components. Now I do less prototyping work and more product design stuff as my attempt to be more focused. But whenever I have chance, always sneak in some coded prototyping work. Happy to connect with fellow hybrids!

  • Code beginner/enthusiast here. I've always gone for roles where I could do both things. Current employer is 99% an app and doing web frontend stuff led me to initially work designing/developing our backoffice tools. Blind is definitely not the best way to conect though! Let me know if you create a group for this!
