Hi there, Getting ready to talk to an exec recruiter at Facebook about an engineering director position at Facebook soon. Can someone walk me through the process? This is my first interview with FB so pls assume limited to no process knowledge. Interested in specifically what is expected out of a director at FB, who you interview with, what are the tech related question. Any examples would be fantastic. Any tips on how to prepare? As a secondary item I am curious if FB is looking to hire more enterprise experienced leaders to mature from a full startup culture to a fast innovating large enterprise? Thanks!
Lol, you look quite prepared for the role, troll
As a CEO myself, I understand the level of ambiguity you must be facing. A lot of the interview will depend on trust and whether or not you can make company-wide positive high-impacting decisions. For instance, one of the decisions I was involved in was to raise the minimum wage of all employees to $15 an hour but then simultaneously cut ancillary compensation benefits that were less well known. Ultimately this was a net neutral move for the company but a significant PR boon. These are the kind of decisions we look for in leadership.
What’s your current role , yoe ?
Take home technical project and system design plus management related questions. Your recruiter should give you a lot more details.
Amazons innovation culture is not nimble enough to match the startup culture you mention of at Boeing.
I'm a FB leadership recruiter and you're a troll.
Umm, good luck?
Thank you for those that shared insights. Will be watching for more details. PS: not a troll..
I am looking for answers to the same question.
Good question as we need more info on higher level hiring. Can you add more details about the current role? No advice, good luck!
