Help! UK citizen with visa and work permit struggling to get interviews... Frustrating thing is, im good!
i would like some advice. as a uk citizen who has moved to NYC, ive got the work permit and the visa, but just cant get people to offer me an interview. i was pretty senior within a major uk broadcaster and have applied for similar roles, junior roles and REALLY junior roles ans just cant get a foot in the door. any advice would be appreciated as its very demoralising and am not sure which way to turn next. thank you.
Ive got the visa and the work permit but unfortunately no IT skills- though I can tell you to switch it on and switch it back off again 😀. I led a creative function at a UK broadcaster.

Networking is pretty much the only way to find jobs in NYC - meetup.com is a good starting point and then ask people about what other groups they’re in. NYC is super competitive and there’s way more people hustling than there are open roles so personal relationships are key
