Hi all. I need help looking for a new job. I was laid off in a RIF and have been super active in my search the past 6 weeks. Sadly all my onsites the past few wks did not pan out so I’m doing whatever I can to apply. LinkedIn is my main source right now. My LinkedIn profile is relatively filled in with my prior work history and description. I did not add any description yet to my last work place though. There are other things that I haven’t filled in yet like getting a recommendations, a “summary”, accomplishments.... do these things make ur profile that much more attractive? Happy to share my LinkedIn profile if anyone wanted to help me critique it (send me a DM for my link). Any other sources I should try? I’m not technical (more in business, planning and strategy role)
Does anyone also know if I fill in my job description that has been blank, Will it trigger its as a “job change” even if I don’t update my job title?
There is a setting for that, you can make changes without notifying everybody
You should change something in your LinkedIn profile a little everyday. Recruiters will see you at the top of recently updated profiles. Send connections to recruiters and have your resume handy to reply quickly. Add a nice picture.
Try setting your profile public on Indeed.

Connect with people that already work in the companies you want to be in , find friends that work in the industry, etc... set your location and status in your profile settings , once you reach 300 , you should have lots of recruiters watching your profile
