I have four offers currently and need help in choosing one of them. Twitter (SRE role) vs Fitbit(Senior Software Engineer) vs Aruba(HPE) (senior sw engineer) vs Hitachi (IOT senior software engineer) Take home package is almost same for all of these companies. Also how easy it is to switch from sre to swe role again? Twitter/Aruba/Fitbit base 170k joining bonus ~50k Twitter/Fitbit (12 percent bonus ) and Aruba 10 percent. Aruba : 4000 rsus. Cons in each role : Twitter : SRE role. Fitbit : stability of the company. Aruba : new project and concerned about it's stability as well. 4 yoe. Currently underpaid in Verizon (120k base)
List numbers. If you don’t want exact numbers just shift them a bit or approximate to at least show. Also list benefits and what you think so far so ppl can chime in
No stock for any of the offers? Not even Twitter?
I would choose Twitter
I am not sure about taking sre role in Twitter. I am worried about the possibility of not able to switch back to Dev from SRE role.!
I'd probably go with Fitbit. It's the best name brand that still keeps the Senior Software Engineer title (instead of SRE).
Is Fitbit a stable company compared to Aruba ?
Unclear, but it certainly has better name recognition
Uh you left out the RSU in TC
Twitter San Francisco office.
@stonedbiz : its not fake post :( if at all I can demand rsus from the HR.. what's the number I can start with ? But again.. it's SRE role in Twitter and I am scared to take sre role... Because I might find difficult to switch back to Dev in future.
Fitbit
What’s TC in twitter?
170k +50k joining bonus. No rsus
Aruba .. if you are going to work in cloud technology... new 6 months paid parental leave just announced.. HPE had announced to invest 4bn in Aruba to develop edge computing..
I can't help you here. Hopefully someone else does. But congratulations anyways 😊
