Got the call from the recruiter for E5 SWE yesterday. However, they said that I'll need to team match first, and will still go through the bootcamp process but not explore various teams.
Is this a good thing or viewed negatively? It seems like this will need to happen first before an offer is extended. How should this be viewed?

is that mainly a negotiation tactic so that candidate buys into the team before numbers are discussed, or any reason why the recruiter wouldn't share comp numbers before team match?
> Downleveled but it's a comp increase.
could you clarify how you know it's comp increase as the other posts says "no offer yet" or if i am mistaken about something?
so recruiter didn't share comp numbers until you decide on a team match first? can you PM me?
in the same boat as you with E5 swe offer but asked for team match before comp numbers given.
are you at fb or went through similar process?
do you mean not sharing comp numbers before team-match is normal for remote? do they do it for regular swe too?
