Scared of shifting to US

I am thinking of shifting within Amazon to seattle for better job & life prospects from India. But I get scared and super anxious everytime I try to make up mind and make a move towards the interview process. Whenever I read about the "PIP" and visa issues/challenges in Blind it increases my anxiety levels.

Is it really that cut-throat and competitive as spoken on Blind? How do you guys survive this?
From a career point I don't see much growth here in india hence asking this question.
