Looking for the best resources to study for HFT interviews, need to escape the world of Jeffy B and the machine. I can do most leetcode hards and system design related questions asked at FANG companies. I am familiar with some high level finance concepts. Does anyone know if they ask for more stuff outside of that?
Solid understanding of low level system architecture. HFT is very latency sensitive so it’s critical to understand what goes on behind the scenes in your code. Definitely not any finance Q’s for SWE roles.
Time to go watch some MIT lectures on that 😂
Depends on the profile really. Not every job in a trading firm is latency sensitive. Some are normal swe roles where you work in core platform teams.
Your LC count won’t help you here
How much prep did you do to be able to solve most Hards? 1.5k+ LC questions?
~300-400 over 3 years, I try to do 1 hard and a couple mediums a week to stay fresh. The trick is being brutally honest with myself on what I know and what I don't know so I can review the concept. 🤷♂️
