Other than housing and investing how do high TC blinders (Let’s say >300k, but anyone can answer) spend their $$? I have a craft beer obsession and buy too many Apple products. Used to travel but after having a kid + pandemic it’s been a while since I did that. TC: ~500k
Honestly after have 2 kids and buying a house it doesn't feel like it is all that much anymore! I am putting about 40% into retirement savings, needlessly rebuild my computer every few months, and do a lot of work on my house right now
Chuckled a little bit on "needlessly rebuild my computer" that sounds familiar.
Doing bt 700-1mm past 3 years... Have two kids, feels like I made more when I was single making 165k.
Majority goes into country’s development.
Don’t live in Bay Area. Wife is rich. Only way to survive.
When I had kid back in 2015, I was making 120K, living in Sunnyvale, eating home cooked 3 meals, was shopping at target with trips to Shasta, Tahoe, Disney. You learn to live with what you make and adjust accordingly. It’s pathetic that people don’t know basics of running their own family
Invest them in ETF indexing funds.
All I can do with my TC is dream about what it would be like if it weren’t all paper money.
Travel to a nice resort in Hawaï. Your TC will no longer be “high”
Had a trip planned to Maui before Covid broke. Sad to say I never went. One day…
It can't be more than 10k right?
Pay off debt from divorce attorneys and travel mostly. Maybe upgrade the house and boat at some point.
What level in Indeed pay 500k
Travel and invest most of it. I want to retire at 40.
Craft beer obsession as well, I also enjoy fancy watches and always been a avid watch collector. Outside of this, most goes to travel too.
Which watches?
IWC petit Prince is my most expensive one. Outside of that, looking to get a Grand Seiko, Rolex, and Tudor to the collection.
Travel pre pandemic. Do a lot of angel investing now.
What's your TC?
Interesting, how do you get intoroduced to companies you invest? Network, some investment community or some tool?
